I was just browsing through Twitter and I came across “Who will be the prettiest girl in the shittiest town?” What a tagline! I had to find out more. Turns out it is a teaser for “The Making of a Small Town Beauty King” by Savy Leiser.
I’d never heard of this book, so I went to investigate.
He wants to be the first boy to win the beauty pageant.
She wants to destroy the pageant entirely.
The world’s most boring town just got a whole lot more interesting.
The book is described as “A contemporary young-adult comedy about passion, pride, pumpkins, pageantry, and the plight of growing up in a small town.”
Now, this is not my normal read. Maybe I was in the mood for a comedy? Or maybe I just had to find out ‘who was the prettiest girl in the shittiest town’? Anyway, I bought the book on a whim and I’m excited to read it.
This is the only book to Stack my Shelves this week.
